I'm Yuyu, founder and CEO of Hopperlace, where we build trustworthy AI for high-stakes work — starting with evidence-synthesis for the systematic-review and drug-safety teams who can't afford a confident mistake. The systems we build act decisively where they're well-calibrated and defer to a human where they're not, and they show the reasoning and the audit trail to prove it.
Alongside Hopperlace, I'm building Value Compass, an independent public-interest project that brings together who's behind the AI tools we use and the values they operate by, so that becomes something people can weigh — not just what a tool can do. It's live as an early MVP at valuecompass.ai.
Before this, I spent over a decade leading AI products at Meta, Walmart, Beamery, and Cleo, with an MS in Statistics underneath it all. I think about AI's impact on humans, deference and calibration, the design of human–AI systems, and — increasingly — the concentration of power in AI and what it means for the rest of us.
